Nhat NguyenHello Glorious,
4
I am happy to own a GMMK Pro.
Wonder if next 2.0 can contain the ability too add key binding as Fn + x (some key) for doing certain things?
Kind regards,
GMMK user -

Glorious Engineers AdminRegarding Fn support for the macro editor, unfortunately it would conflict with the built-in firmware functionality. Fn key combos are used extensively for all types of functions. Everything from media control to LED settings are all reliant on an Fn combo.
More information on these built-in functions can be found in the product guide under the How to Use section.

ReneHello Glorious Team,
1
Love your work and products.
Would it be possible to allow support for 3rd party RGB applications? Such as OpenRGB or SignalRGB.
I would really love to tie in my keyboard and mouse into my RGB setup.
Thanks :) -

Omarwhen does the update of core 2.0 will be available?
-
11 Jul, '22
Glorious Engineers AdminRegarding a release date, we are targeting Q4 of this year. As an additional update, we are finalizing our design phase and will move into active development within the next few weeks.

SkiptraceDoes the "Expanded rotary knob functionality for the GMMK PRO" mean that you can change the Dial Rotation function in Glorious Core?
2
I have a fork of QMK on my GMMK Pro right now that lets me use Vial to change the function on my GMMK Pro dial to allow me to use it as Next Track and Previous Track. With the Click being Pause/Play. If this is not added functionality with the current Core 2.0 roadmap, PLEASE implement it. I've been really wanting to use Core for the RGB due to Vial and my QMK Fork not having 100% access to all RGB colors. -

Snowhey i just noticed a suggestion regarding profiles and auto triggering profiles here.
I like the idea as I also had something like ghub for my old mouse to do those things for me.
It says backlog so will it be available in the next update or is it for future updates? -
14 Jul, '22
Glorious Engineers AdminRegarding the expanded rotary functionality, the current scope includes mapping application-specific audio sources as well as a few other enhancements. At this time there are no plans for media controls for the rotary action. Of course we would love to add that as we continue refinement, but for 2.0 we are trying to keep our scope limited to ensure we can deliver as quickly as possible.
Per game-specific profiles and an auto-trigger mechanism, It’s something we are definitely interested in pursuing. Unfortunately it will not come up for prioritization until after 2.0. At that time we will reassess our priorities based on the feedback collected here in Feature Upvote. -

JoelHello Glorious,
1
Regarding the Overhaul to the RGB lighting editor, will this also apply to the mice? It would be nice to be able to edit the color of each individual LED. -
18 Jul, '22
OBlackeyIts a bit sad if the "current" scope is this only "mapping application-specific audio sources as well as a few other enhancements", it will be such a let down and only bad comments online about glorious core "2.0". OMG Glorious core 2.0, o wait its useless back to qmk. 2.0 refers to a major update, this may as well be a snapshot of what should be 2.0. I am just sending this to help not to be negative.

18 Jul, '22
MASMINHi there. I'm interested to see the new version of Glorious Core. It would be nice if you can add F13-F24 for the key binding.
Sincerely,
Model I user -

Glorious Engineers AdminPer the question on the lighting editor and per-key assignments, as a whole, lighting configuration is getting a UI update. The update will be applied for both mice and keyboards. That said, per-key lighting for mice is not currently planned for 2.0. Please feel free to add this as a suggestion though!

ShadowpuppyI would advise looking at an open source keyboard automation applications to see how they make some of the more cool stuff work.
https://www.autohotkey.com
This is open source and has allot of cool things it can do. I know you do not want to create something this in depth but it could really speed up your ability to implement some cool features for Core 2.
Something as simple as when i type this password enter is activated without a key press can really make things feel smooth and cool.
You might also think about adding some easter eggs like DEADLEEDUCK cause the keyboard to do some special lighting pattern. People can find them and get prizes or something. -

KayconU guys are awesome!

I love my Glorious perepherie but always thought that the software is not even close the same quality.
Thank u very much that u know that you need to do something, Glorious is really the best brand! -

VoricI am confused - is the Fn+x thing going to be implemented?
This topic says 'no' but in this thread it is marked as planned - https://gloriouspcgaming.featureupvote.com/suggestions/313440/accessing-a-secondary-set-of-functions-only-while-pressing-a-fn-key -
04 Aug, '22
Glorious Engineers AdminHi There, Voric! We would like to clarify that we are working on a way for users to be able to customize Fn layers and are working through the specifics with respect to the current firmware implementation.

OdysseusAdd the GMMK and wired mice to the official Core please!!!
-
21 Oct, '22
MichaelIt would be awesome if Glorious had a GitHub account with open source repositories for the software and/or firmware. I am a software engineer and would love the ability to view the source and/or contribute and I am sure there are others like me.
Keychron is a good example:
https://github.com/Keychron/qmk_firmware/tree/master/keyboards/keychron/q1
https://github.com/Keychron/qmk_firmware/tree/bluetooth_playground/keyboards/keychron/k8_pro
Is this something that would ever be considered? -
31 Oct, '22
JanHello, I have the same question as Joel from 16th of July. I would highly appreciate per-segment rgb selection on mice.
Thank you in advance. -
15 Nov, '22
BroskiIt would be nice if we weren't limited to only 3 Profiles. The software for the Wired Model D/D- and O/O- have no limits for how many profiles you can have on top of the ability to name them. I'd love to daily drive the Wireless D- I have, but I have more than 3 profiles on my Wired D- that I actively use. Maybe have a dark mode too? There's a lot of wasted space that's just white. And allowing the scroll wheel to be rebind-able would be some nice icing on the cake.

Glorious Engineers AdminHi everyone! As we are nearing the end of the year we wanted to provide an update on CORE 2.0. We are happy to report that the design phase has been completed and we are in active development. That said, our original estimate of Q4 of 2022 looks to have been a little optimistic. While we have made some really great progress it’s become clear we will need some additional time to fully realize our vision for this update. With that in mind, our new estimate is late Q1 of 2023. We apologize for the delay, but will continue to provide new information as it becomes available.

JeffHey guys! Im in love the with the GMMK2!! <3 HOWEVER, as listed above with the layering...please stack effects!! for example, static color and then allow "Pass without Trace" so then it would allow each key press to light that individual key! something like that. Overall the keyboard is amazing, just the software hurts the think meats.

ctdubzzFirst off, typing this on my GMMK Pro and I LOVE it. Let's get that out of the way first. But guys... this software. I know you all can do better. Wondering if you would be able to implement the ability for ALT/CTRL layering (I saw some conflicting posts about FN layering due to the firmware) so we can easily layer custom key binds on top of the "gold" profile layer. I've used keyboards under $100 that can do this and there is no way in hell I'm EVER going back to those now. Also it's been said on here already but the ability to change the rotary encoder would be amazing, even something like a horizontal scroll or zoom would be so money. Love what you guys do and really looking forward to seeing the new stuff. Also, any updates would be great! You don't have to have it ready, but just letting the community know where you are at can really go a LONG way to keeping us happy :)

RalphCant wait for the update. I had my GMMK Pro for a while now, I love using it, but the lighting has been a disappointment;
1. Cycling between colors with different patterns/waves/shapes is not available. RGB is a rigid option. It puts all the colors together in the same way every time instead of having the option to cycle between colors or select the colors you want, say in wave 1 or wave 2 etc.
2. Some modes are way too fast even on lowest speed, like Acid mode (too fast to enjoy each color separately), also heartbeat sensor.
3. As others said, no layers (layers you can setup are actually profiles not layers)
4. Not enough lighting patterns/styles
Basically I could not find a single set and forget mode that will let you enjoy looking at your keyboard, with it showing different colors every time you look at it.
I am hoping some or most of that will change! fingers crossed -

RayAny updates on this ? Because we are nearing Q2 with no word from the devs on this. Even though late Q1 was the last we heard... I seriously cant deal with the current software anymore its driving me bonkers that I cant fully use this keyboard (GMMK 2 96%).
-
15 Mar, '23
Brian+ I'd like to be able to adjust DPI separately in X and Y as an advanced mouse performance setting.
+ It would also be fun to have a drop-down feature to change the color of the mouse and keyboard to actually match what we use, besides the default black. -

Glorious Engineers AdminDevelopment Update (1/2):
As we are approaching release for CORE 2.0, we wanted to provide some more insight into our progress and release plans.
First, as we have progressed further into CORE 2.0 development it has become apparent that there are foundational changes to the app that are necessary before we can implement a new UI and more robust feature set. To speak in a bit more detail here, reliability and performance are critical aspects of the CORE 2.0 update, and to achieve this we have prioritized various backend and deployment changes so that moving forward, we can achieve a more standardized release cycle as well as the ability to implement new features more rapidly. With all of this in mind, we are taking a phased approach.
Phase one will encompass the structural changes, and at this time we are estimating completion of this first phase by the end of April. -
28 Mar, '23
Glorious Engineers AdminDevelopment Update (2/2):
The second phase will then encompass a UI overhaul, as well as the new feature set previously detailed. For this second phase, our timeline is a little more opaque, but we are tracking towards a mid-late Q2 release.
CORE 2.0 Status : QA Testing
Estimated Completion Date: Mid - Late Q2 2023 -

Rafale77Thank you for the update. 3 more months to go. Can't wait to see the final feature set and especially all those which have been requested on this board.

RaySo glad to read that work is still progressing towards a fundamentally better product. Can not wait to finally be able to use my keyboard to its full potential.

XanderI love the Glorious mice series they feel great to hold and move but I will admit the apps lack of customization personally.
1
Off the top of my head I'd like to see these introduced:
Allow for mouse movement to be implemented into Macros by recording and preferably x and y coordinates (this is what I want the most)
Quicker and easier way to adjust the key hold/tap timings and delays in Recorded Macros (feels a bit tedious and time consuming to edit/shorten/move them around after you've recorded them)

Liami have gmmk 2 and i would love to see compatibility with signal rgb and other 3rd party rgb software to sync my entire setup without having to flash gmk onto my keyboard if this is something that is possible i have only had the gmmk 2 for about a week and that is the only complaint that i have is not being ablle to sync the rgb with the rest of my setup other then that it is the best keyboard that i have ever owned

NoobPlease add additional functionally to the slider for example like zoom

MaddyThe lighting on Glorious products is in a league of its own, yet the current RGB set up on the Core app really wastes its potential. I would love to combine colors to make a gradient, similar to the rainbow, in a sunset sort of fashion. New/custom effects would be nice. The options available are somewhat redundant.
4
Better support for the Num Pad would be nice too. I know it's not one of the best selling products, but for people who work with computers, its essential. I don't see the point of having a volume slider and a volume rotary knob. It would be nice to be able to program the slider beyond just the sound options. I actually disable it because it is so useless to me when I've got 2 other knobs right there that do the same function, besides my headphones, speakers, settings app..
I'm sure some consumers would be willing to test these features in exchange for bug reports. Its essentially free labor and the customers feel included in the process. Plus, you get immediate feedback -
27 May, '23
SerhatIt could be nice support shortcuts for games and applications. In my old mouse I assigned a button that mutes my discord, It was not like assigning key. Also I was able to assign F buttons after F12 such as F26.

Glorious Engineers AdminHi there! As an update, we’ve had to revise our timeline for CORE 2.0 and are now targeting a release date before the end of Q3 of this year.
It is of utmost importance to us that the transition to 2.0 is as seamless as possible. So, with this in mind, our team is diligently working to refine and rigorously test the update before its deployment.
Thanks to everyone for sticking with us and being so supportive while we're working on this. We really appreciate it! As we approach the release, we will provide further updates to keep you informed :) -
10 Jun, '23
Rafale77Great to have an update but I am losing trust and faith in Glorious' ability to deliver...
It seems to be large undertaking for Glorious...
There are many feature requests posted on this board which have been "under consideration" for over a year... and are very basic features which should have been delivered before products were released. I am thinking of the knob/slider functions for the numpad or the reversed layering of the RGB modes which would be game changers and are a big area of criticism from all the online reviews. Glorious please double down on your software/firmware development and stop rescheduling this release. It's looking more and more like it will be too little too late. -
11 Jun, '23
A model O wireless userCan you add more than 3 profiles for all wireless mice and make a key combination on the mouse to change between profiles. Like maybe it could be middle + dpi + forward + backward.
-
24 Jun, '23
JanHey, any updates?
-
12 Jul, '23
eddyI would love for the glorious core software to have the same macro options as the original glorious model O software. I just made the switch to the glorious model I and the software sucks compared to the original glorious model o. Can you guys please make the macro feature better for glorious core and make it like the original glorious model o software? im a little upset that I cant setup efficient macros.

17 Jul, '23
xxDripDrewHello Glorious could you please add the Model O/O- to the core and core 2.0 please?

29 Jul, '23
Sean DathePlease build into Core 2.0 the option to bind F13-F22 to your mice.

17 Aug, '23
Matija hajsanI'm not sure if you guys are going to do this but I'm just going to say that the glorious app for gmmk 1 keyboards is very disappointing and I'm hoping that you guys just add some more effects and layering as that would really make it more usable. As of right now, it is very limiting and you can only add like a few effects. Even just like ripple effect and a static colour would be an upgrade from the software at the moment.

20 Sep, '23
Glorious Engineers AdminThank you for your message. We’d like to inform you that in order to fulfill the most requirements we have decided to postpone release until Q1 2024.
There is a great deal of new features such as, MacOS compatibility, improved UI, new interesting customizations and much, much more.
Thank you for your patience. We will update you as soon as possible. -
21 Sep, '23
VoricHey, this is extremely disappointing to hear..
4
I bought my keyboard more than a year ago and ahve been waiting for a feature (Accessing a secondary set of functions only while pressing a fn key
) that was imo supposed to be there on release not so long after.
Now it turns out we are what? Waiting for Mac compatibility and UI?
Even worse is the fact that this 'featrue' is not even in development so I'll have to wait how long? -
21 Sep, '23
AlexPlease allow us to set individual dpi values for X and Y axis for the Glorious Model D Pro. I don't know why it was not there in the first place, I could do that on my old wired Model D.

i bought a model d- wired but i only have a macbook air 2022 m1
it would be very nice to be able to change the settings on my mouse. -

eI really enjoy glorious mice. But not having a way for me to set dpi if I don't own a windows machine is pretty silly in 2023. I had to find someone who owned one to setup my mouse. If I didn't like these mice so much I would have returned it on the spot ugh what a headache

Av_KIII suggest you copy a bit of homework from all the big brands in terms of RGB and mapping features, there is a set of tools people are used to seeing (layers, presets, whatnot) but effects that could set Core apart are effects like togglable lighting on key press, you press the key and it changes to a selected color until you press it again rather than the standard keystroke fade, would be nice for caps lock but also macros or implementing what I would call a sticky layer, it could function similarly to g-shift from Logitech where you toggle a whole new layer of mapping while the key is pressed, or it could be toggled, that's where the color change on press key would be nice, as an indicator. I haven't seen this RGB feature implemented anywhere else and g-shift functionality, ideally with the fn key so it's not almost useless would be massively versatile. Imagine volume on turning the knob but then fn+knob fast forwards or zooms, or clicking mutes AND pauses, massively versatile..

TiborHello Glorious,
I have a GMMK Pro, a GMMK 2 96% keyboard and a Model D mouse.
Within the Glorous Core application is the "Lighting" function. I would like my peripherals to turn off their backlight after 5 minutes of inactivity. This function works perfectly with my Model D mouse, but not at all with my keyboards. Reading the forums, a lot of people would love to see this feature work properly with all Glorious devices. In my opinion, it is unacceptable that after all these years they could not fix this function. This would be expected for products of this price and category.
In addition, with the current software version, I cannot manage the backlight of my GMMK 2 keyboard at all, even though it is running the latest firmware.
I trust that these basic functions will also be paid attention to and will be improved in the 2.0 version, which would be very timely to release. -
05 Dec, '23
Av_KIIIn regards to the reply to the first comment about fn key mapping and firmware compatibility, I think people would trade the firmware functionality to have a wider range of options, I like how as soon as it has power I can change my lighting and all but I think if people were given that option to do more they would, even if it meant being tethered to a piece of software to use (As long as it's good.). I would trade the baked-in fn key functionality to be able to map my own fn key shortcuts, I've always found lighting fn key combos unintuitive so I could recreate the ones I do use which are the lighting functions and media playback the way I want them (more in future?). I think if possible people should be given the option to use the firmware fn key mapping or some sort of expanded functionality that side steps the firmware and relies more on the software or whatever has to be done with whatever the drawbacks to allow us to map shortcuts how we want, if its a choice, then everyone wins.
-

NoMarketingGloriousFeaturesMake sure to add the extra function keys F13 through F24 to available keybinds and a field option so we can press the button on the keyboard we want to mimic with the mouse. Basiclly copy GHUB/iCue/etc system and make them saveable as a hardware profile, with that you win the mouse game for everyone that wants a high quality, light, functional mouse with buttons, but without all the robot vomit rgb, bloat random drivers and update systems and overhead.
(I love you for everything else though - Model I best mouse I have ever used, just the CORE beta letting it down.) -

Unfortunately our estimate of Q2 2023 was inaccurate, but we are happy to report that we have solidified a new launch date of April 30th, 2024.
Additionally, we have expanded the scope of the update to include both MacOS support and localization options.
Thank you to everyone for their continued patience! -
