  This one barely missed inclusion for CORE 2.0. Our reasoning was two-fold. First, it is important to us that the planned feature set for 2.0 is achievable in a reasonable amount of time. Second, from a foundational perspective, the UI/UX for lighting configuration needs some love. In short, once we are satisfied with the UI/UX, we can then shift gears to new features such as this. For now we will leave this as "Under Consideration" and revisit it after CORE 2.0.

  Since the indication leds were removed for caps lock, scroll lock and num lock from the original gmmk series having the led under these keys change colour or flash seems like a simple replacement/solution/option.
  There doesn't seem to be any option at all to have an indication for num lock on/off on the gmmk 96?
  The flashing side leds for caps lock is almost useless as i can barely see it.

  Far and away this is my biggest complaint about the GMMK Pro and the number one reason I do not recommend it to anyone I know. Not knowing if the caps lock is on seems like an issue that was solved decades ago. And if you have a dark/black deskmat it's impossible to see the side glow.

  IF capslock on, THEN led under caps lock glow set color, or fade in and out
  
  I was shocked when I downloaded CORE and this was not an option. It makes the GMMK Pro a rather poor choice for typists.

  I understand that a full blown configurable indicator can be a heavy lift, but is it possible to simply have the caps lock key have an indicator - IE light up red - when it's activated? The GMMK2 does not do this and the side LEDs are hard to see when sitting up straight directly facing the keyboard. Love what you're doing with CORE, hope this gets added as a standard for all your keyboards soon!

  Would love to have this for caps lock and nums lock. I have the num lock button as a hotkey for obs recording and would love to have a visual indicator when on.

  My biggest gripe against GMMK2 is that I cannot easily and quickly determine if my locks are turned on or off.

  The side panel lights are cool and all, but it would be awesome if we could enable all "lock" buttons to breathe when enabled. It is difficult for me to see the side lights.

  I think every key should have 2 states of lighting. Pressed and not pressed. This should be easy to implement and everyone could decide which keys should do what whenever pressed. What would be even nice if you could set a profile for each state, so you can make a key blink when pressed for example.
  And this would also solve the issue with the NUM-Lock and the CAPS keys.
  This should be really easy to develop cause it´s already software controlled, a somewhat skilled prgrammer should be able to build such feature in about 1 to 2 days.

  I loved how my Ducky Shine 3 did this:
  
  1) Caps Lock off: no LEDs
  2) Caps Lock on: LEDs on
  
  That gives an instant notification versus the side lights which 1) blink very slowly, so you might not even notice and 2) are way, way out of your sightline. I have a dark wooden table & I've never once even seen my side lights. Are they even on? I would never know. Sadly, the blinking with caps lock on is turning out to be a major gimmick. 😭

  I would love to have the option of changing all LED's to red like my Anne Pro II when capslock is enabled.

  Unless I'm blind and can't see certain settings in the lighting setup, the current indication for caps and numlock are non existent and or absolute anus.
  
  I suggest something like what my previous Kboard used to have ( Coolermaster MX 750 ) . When either is enabled, the LED is lit up, otherwise its not; basically an indicated light toggle.

  The lack of this feature is utterly frustrating but the current implementation is almost as bad honestly.
  
  Firstly in a well lit room in daylight it's really difficult to tell whether the side LEDs are even on. I would much prefer the entire keyboard lit up to just the side LEDs so it's actually visible in daylight.
  
  Secondly the flashing style of the currently implementation seems to be on some kind of timer, meaning that depending on where in the cycle it currently is when activating caplock there is an inconsistent delay before receiving any feedback that the key press even registered. Sometimes I press the key and it lights up instantly (providing it's dark enough to see), other times I have to wait for the next "flash" to notice anything.

  This would be nice, since the angle I have it I can’t see my side led’s and their light I guess isn’t bright enough that you could notice the light shining on my mouse pad/desk.

  It's absurd that I have to rely on side lights to know if my caps lock is on with my GMMK 2 especially with a black desk. All I need is a simple change of key color. I shouldn't have to mess with a key map file nor install QMK. I'd be happy with a simple setting in Core even if temporary.
