Add ability to layer RBG Lighting Effects on Keyboard
It would be great to allow layering of multiple lighting effects on the keyboards. Ex. Set a base color, and then a layer on top that adds ripple typing effect.

Glorious Engineers AdminThis is a great suggestion and one we have discussed in detail. Ideally lighting effects can be expanded to greatly improve the customization options. That said, we feel that the lighting and layers UI/UX needs to be updated to support more complex inputs. To that end, CORE 2.0 will include those UI/UX adjustments, and should provide a solid foundation for future enhancements. Once that foundation is in place we will revisit this suggestion :)

ThomasAgreed. "Layer" needs to have the same meaning as when you are in Photoshop. where the top layer takes precedent over lower layers.
Good alternative names could be Mode, Quickset, ProfileSwaps, or just removed entirely, -

BradAgreed. This is honestly basic functionality, without which Glorious Core continues to be borderline unusable compared to literally any other keyboard RGB control suite. Not sure what the thinking was behind implementing "Layers" that aren't layers at all but completely supersede one another, w/r/t both RGB and key functionality.

Oliver MergedLike the rave setting on the lighting page, you would choose solid color and you could pick two colors instead of one.

technically MergedI would love to be able to make custom RGB patterns, like how Razer synapse does. that would be insane.

Felewin MergedIt would be nice to have the GMMK Pro with a 'Glorious Mode' lighting going, which responds when pressing keys in the same way that 'Ripple Graff' does. Interactivity feels better, but with 'Ripple Graff' alone, the keyboard is too dark.

Glorious Engineers AdminHi there, regarding the status of this suggestion we are still in development for CORE 2.0. Our latest estimate for CORE 2.0 is late Q1 of 2023. Following that update we will reassess our priorities and see where this fits in. Appreciate everyone's patience!

ChrisTo me it's a little bit disappointing that all of the interactive lighting settings default to the LED's being OFF. For someone who does a lot of work in low light settings, this is not ideal. I'd love to see a few interactive lighting modes with ripple effects or tracer/echo effects that change the color or brightness when the key is pressed and then return back to a user defined color and brightness setting. I was recently encouraged to purchase one of these keyboards over a Logitech but I am definitely missing these features.

Rafale77I just sent a message to support requesting this feature before coming here so I am glad it is not new and others have been requesting it. I just got a numpad and the ability to have reactive lighting modes on top of another pattern, solid or others is sorely missing. Looking forward to CORE 2.0

BlakeYes please. I just got my mkk2 and was thoroughly disappointed that I wasn't able to make the lighting profiles I used to have. As trash as Logitech hardware is, their RGB software is very user friendly, and I am in love with their "community hub" area where you can upload and share your profiles for certain games. Being able to make cool stuff and share it is super fun!

weeckaYea, this is the only feature i miss on my GMMK pro, I guess i got spoiled by the corsair/nzxt keyboards that can have a base layer and an effect on top of it on key press. It's weird that a keyboard/KB software at this price point is unable to do something this basic...
p.s. Layers in the software are, in my oppinion, completely wasted as they are basically just presets within profiles and not layers. -

Glorious Engineers AdminHello! Regarding RGB lighting effects, we are currently working on a major update that will go into effect after the 2.0 launch. We will have more details on this as we get a bit closer to implementation. Thanks for your patience!

Rafale77@Glorious Engineer, Shouldn't the status of this request be changed to "work in progress" then instead of "under consideration"?
