Special letters (via fn or layer function)

The ability to use special letters from other languages via Fn or the layer function.
For example being able to access an ä (=ae;= german letter) while pressing fn + a.

Really missing the German layout option in the software. I can handle english for the software itself but it would be great if I can customize the additional keys like Ä Ü Ö ß as well.
